Suttons Beach Park

Suttons Beach Park, including Youth Park, is a family-friendly bayside destination on Marine Parade in Redcliffe, with views across the bay towards Moreton Island. The park combines a beach, open parkland and recreation spaces, making it suitable for a relaxed day outdoors rather than a single-purpose visit. It is free to visit, with nearby parking and amenities available.

The beach has gentle waves and a patrolled swimming area suited to children and swimmers of different ages. Access to the sand and water is supported by stairs and accessible beach matting, while beach showers make it easy to rinse off after a swim. Away from the shoreline, visitors can use picnic facilities, shelters and barbecues, or let children explore the playground. A scenic path also provides an option for walking or cycling, while fitness equipment, seating, toilets, a water fountain and rubbish bins are listed among the park facilities.

Suttons Beach Park has a lively community focus throughout the year, hosting various events as well as food trucks and park activity vendors through the City of Moreton Bay’s pop-up program. That mix of beach, play areas and occasional activity gives the park a broad appeal: families can settle in for a picnic, groups can use the open spaces for gatherings, and solo visitors can walk, cycle or spend time by the water. Nearby shops also provide an option for picking up an ice cream after a swim.

For larger occasions, the park has a bookable wedding area and four event spaces. The wedding area is a grassed lawn overlooking Moreton Bay, while the other spaces include open and shaded grassed areas, a beach setting in front of the Suttons Beach Rotunda, picnic facilities, playground access and, in one area, power. Council approval may be required for events in a public park, so bookings and permissions should be checked in advance. With its accessible beach facilities, practical picnic setup and range of spaces, Suttons Beach Park is well suited to family outings, casual group gatherings and community events.
