Richard Randall Art Studio is a heritage-listed gallery space set within the Bamboo Garden at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha in Toowong. Surrounded by trees and bamboo, the quaint timber studio offers a distinctive setting for exhibitions, community activities and suitable commercial bookings rather than a conventional walk-in gallery experience.
The space can be arranged with tables, chairs, blank walls and an art hanging system with hooks. It accommodates up to 16 people standing or 12 seated, with five tables and 12 chairs available. Facilities include air conditioning, polished floorboards, an onsite car park and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, hot water boiler and sink with boiling and chilled water. Cutlery and crockery are not supplied, and the kitchenette is not suitable for commercial food preparation.
Accessibility features include an accessible toilet, an 820-millimetre-wide front door, an independently accessible indoor area, two disability parking spaces and an accessible path. The site notes that assistance may be needed with the front door and parking path. Exhibition hire is listed at $46.75 per day or $194 per week, with a maximum 28-day hire period; bonds and conditions may also apply. The Council page currently states that hall bookings are unavailable while its online booking system transitions, so check availability before planning an event.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.8 from 23 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
