Opa Bar & Mezze brings Greek food, drinks and celebration to Brisbane CBD, with a setting beside the Brisbane River and views towards the Story Bridge. The restaurant’s name comes from “opa”, an expression of joy heard at Greek celebrations, and the venue leans into that spirit with a menu designed for casual meals, shared occasions and larger gatherings. There is also a bar and a range of mezze, making it suitable for a quick bite, a relaxed dinner or a long meal with friends.

The menu moves from small plates and dips into seafood, grilled meats, vegetarian dishes and larger share plates. Standouts include slow-baked Lamb Shoulder with oregano, lemon and tzatziki; Kokkinisto, a slow-cooked lamb and beef dish served over eggplant purée; and Htapodi, grilled octopus finished with olive oil, oregano and lemon. Seafood is a strong focus, with oysters shucked at the oyster bar, ocean trout, sand crab, king prawns, Patagonian toothfish and a seafood Thalasina Saganaki. The menu also includes Greek favourites such as Moussaka, Spanakopita, Souvlaki and Feta Saganaki.

For groups, Opa offers whole-table banquet menus, including vegetarian options on request. The function spaces range from a private dining room for smaller events to an exclusive bar area and full-venue hire for larger celebrations. Banquet menus and beverage arrangements are available for functions, with bespoke requests handled through the venue’s enquiries process. Its river views, booths, tables and tiered Santorini-inspired seating create options for both seated meals and standing events.

The venue is fully accessible and has a kids menu available on request, so it can work for families as well as groups marking a special occasion. Couples and smaller parties can share mezze, order from the larger plates or settle in for a seafood-focused meal, while solo diners may find the bar and smaller dishes a more flexible option. For something sweet, the dessert list includes Bougatsa from Thessaloniki, Chocolate Baklava, Galaktoboureko and Loukoumades, with the latter available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
