Northshore Hamilton is a large riverfront precinct in Brisbane’s Hamilton, combining open-air event settings, entertainment, dining, recreation and waterfront destinations. It is being developed as Queensland’s largest riverfront urban renewal precinct, with 50 hectares of land and 1.2 kilometres of undeveloped Brisbane River frontage. Rather than a traditional enclosed park, it is a broad precinct with a mix of public-facing experiences and spaces for events, installations and activations.
The setting has a distinctive industrial character, with a nautical backdrop, traces of First Nations history and rustic twentieth-century port architecture. Northshore’s event spaces include Maritime Green, The Collective, Dock B, Dock C and Dock D, alongside venues such as Eat Street, Flipside Circus and Riva Kitchen & Events. The precinct has hosted large-scale experiences including Cirque du Soleil, Van Gogh Alive, Disney+ drive-ins and The Winter Village, as well as Brisbane Festival and Brisbane International Film Festival activity.
For food and entertainment, Eat Street sits beside the Brisbane River and brings together food vendors, micro-restaurants, themed bars, shops and live entertainment across four stages. Nearby Portside Wharf adds a waterfront retail and dining destination with community events, entertainment and secure undercover parking. The wider precinct also lists recreation options including Tennis at Northshore Tennis Park, making it suitable for visitors looking to combine time outdoors with dining or programmed activities.
Northshore Hamilton will appeal to groups, families and visitors interested in Brisbane’s changing riverfront culture, particularly when an event or activation is taking place. It can also suit a casual outing built around the waterfront, food and entertainment, although the experience varies across the precinct rather than following a single park layout. Check the individual venue or event details before visiting, as activities and access are managed across separate Northshore destinations.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.4 from 36 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
