Why it's worth checking out

Naldham House brings several distinct Brisbane dining and drinking experiences together in a restored, heritage-listed building on the corner of Mary and Felix Streets, close to the river walk and Eagle Street restaurant precinct. Built in 1864 as the home of the Australian United Steam Navigation Company, the building reflects Brisbane’s maritime history, with its original character carried into a multi-level venue for meals, drinks, celebrations and events.

On the ground floor, The Brasserie takes a modern approach to European dining, pairing classic influence with a contemporary Brisbane setting. It is suited to casual lunches, elegant dinners and occasions that call for a little more polish, while Naldham Terrace offers an alfresco setting for daytime team lunches, after-work drinks and relaxed catch-ups. The Terrace focuses on seasonal dishes and handcrafted cocktails, with an outdoor atmosphere shaped by Queensland’s sunshine.

Upstairs, Club Felix provides a more intimate setting, with low lighting, refined finishes and heritage windows. Its offering includes crafted cocktails, a curated wine list and shareable small plates designed for easy conversation. The adjoining event space has built-in audiovisual equipment, a screen and projector, private bathrooms and a dedicated kitchen, making it suitable for cocktail receptions, seated dinners, tastings, workshops, presentations and other functions.

At the top of the building, The Fifty Six presents Cantonese dining led by Executive Chef Gerald Ong. The menu brings together traditional and contemporary influences, including delicate dim sum, signature seafood and handcrafted sauces, with skyline views forming part of the experience. Across the venue, Naldham House suits different kinds of gatherings: friends and family, colleagues, intimate celebrations, long lunches, after-work drinks and larger private events. Its mix of European brasserie dining, Cantonese cuisine, terrace drinks and flexible function spaces makes it a substantial choice in Brisbane CBD rather than a single-style restaurant.
