Lethbridge Gallery

Lethbridge Gallery is an established Paddington gallery with a focus on contemporary Australian art. Founded by Brett Lethbridge in 2004, it presents a broad range of technically accomplished works and regularly changes its exhibition program, showing both established and emerging artists. The gallery is located at 134–136 Latrobe Terrace, making it a convenient stop for anyone exploring Paddington’s art and design scene.

The program covers a substantial group of artists, including Lisa Christensen, Bronwyn Hill, David Kas, Catherine Abel, Todd Whisson, Marisa Veerman, Jane Grealy and Brett Lethbridge. Alongside its rotating exhibitions, the gallery organises collections of smaller and larger works, including small-scale pieces and statement artworks intended for feature walls. Lethbridge Gallery is particularly known for its art awards. Its Lethbridge 20 000 Small Scale Art Award is open to national and international artists and recognises works for creativity, originality and skill, while the Lethbridge Landscape Prize celebrates Australian landscape art across multiple mediums. The gallery also manages the Queensland-based Clayton Utz Art Award, which includes a $20,000 first prize.
