Why it's worth checking out
Como Restaurant brings a contemporary take on Italian cooking to South Brisbane, drawing on the relaxed refinement associated with Lake Como in Lombardy. Its food is shaped by Italian traditions, with an emphasis on flavour, quality and seasonal produce. The kitchen works with local Australian farmers as well as Italian artisanal producers, so the menu changes to reflect what is available rather than staying fixed year-round.
The restaurant is designed for lingering. Guests can meet friends over an aperitivo and antipasti at the bar, share a meal, or settle in for a longer dinner. Como also has a kitchen and pizzeria, with artisanal pizza available for takeaway. Delivery is offered through Uber Eats, while collection is available from the Fish Lane entrance, making it an option for a relaxed meal at home as well as dining out.
For occasions that need a little more privacy, the private dining room can accommodate up to 12 people. It suits special celebrations and corporate lunches, with a choice between the à la carte menu and a bespoke experience created with the head chef. A minimum spend applies, and larger groups, functions and events can be discussed directly with the restaurant team. Reservations are encouraged, although walk-ins can be accommodated; groups of more than six are asked to contact the venue in advance.
With its Italian focus, bar offering and flexible spaces, Como is suited to a range of plans, from a drink and shared plates through to a special-occasion dinner or group gathering. It is also a practical choice before a show or event at neighbouring venues, provided that is noted when booking. You’ll find Como at 119 Melbourne Street in South Brisbane, Brisbane.
