Casa Cibo

Casa Cibo is a substantial Italian restaurant, bar and cafe in Westfield Chermside’s dining precinct, serving lunch and dinner from 11am every day. Its menu is centred on Italian food made in-house, including fresh pasta, fresh pizza and antipasti sliced to order. The kitchen says it combines traditional and modern Italian recipes with seasonal produce and Australian ingredients, aiming for food that feels authentic while remaining accessible.

The wood-fired cooking is a defining part of the offering. Casa Cibo’s two Stefano Ferrera ovens were brought over from Naples and are used to cook the pizzas in the traditional way. They are also used for the venue’s wood-fired porchetta and slow-cooked lamb ragu. Homemade desserts round out the menu, while the drinks list includes Italian wines alongside other options designed to complement the food.

There is plenty of room here: Casa Cibo occupies two levels, seats more than 350 people and has several spaces intended for different occasions. That makes it a practical choice for larger gatherings as well as everyday dining, with a relaxed setting described by the venue as suitable for both local and visiting patrons. Families are catered for through a kids menu and party options, while function and drinks menus are available for group events.

Casa Cibo opened in 2017 with a focus on traditional cooking, carefully sourced ingredients and a strong sense of family. The restaurant says it works with local and international suppliers, including sustainable ingredients where possible, and treats its ovens and people as part of the Casa Cibo family. Groups should note that larger bookings are required to choose a banquet option: the threshold is 30 people or more from Sunday to Thursday, and 20 or more from Friday to Saturday.
