Barchetta Italian brings a Puglian influence to Rosalie Village in Paddington, with a menu built around fresh pasta, traditional pizza, Italian wines and seasonal produce. Its pastas are made by hand daily, and the menu covers a broad Italian spread, from antipasti and seafood to pizzas, secondi, sides and desserts. There are also gluten-free pasta and pizza options, with dietary requirements accommodated for functions.

The kitchen’s signature dishes include the Barchetta pizza, topped with mozzarella, seasonal mushrooms, bresaola, rocket, Parmigiano and truffle oil, and the pappardelle with braised duck ragù and pecorino. Other listed plates include oven-roasted tiger prawns with garlic, chilli, lemon and pangrattato; burrata with roasted baby beetroot, orange, walnut and balsamico; and fresh fish of the day. The menu also caters to younger diners with simple pizza, pasta and ice-cream options.

Inside, the setting is described through warm stucco walls, a long banquette and brass lamps, while the wine list focuses on Italy. The venue’s name, meaning “little boat”, reflects its idea of a welcoming harbour where family and friends gather over food and conversation. That sense of welcome extends from dressed-up occasions to relaxed meals with children, making it suitable for a date, a family dinner or an unhurried meal with friends.

Barchetta also offers private events across an indoor dining room and an open-air outdoor terrace. Groups can book a sit-down dinner, cocktail canapés or the full venue, with set menus, grazing tables, canapés and matched wines tailored to the occasion. The listed capacities range from smaller gatherings of 10 through to a 40-person full-venue booking. On Sundays, the restaurant runs a spritz-focused session from the afternoon, with Aperol, Limoncello, Hugo and Campari spritzes available. Reservations are offered for regular dining and events.
