The Boundary Hotel

The Boundary Hotel is a long-standing West End pub with more than 150 years of local history behind it. Established in 1864, it occupies a site named after Boundary Road and remains one of the suburb’s best-known venues. The hotel’s story is closely tied to West End. Scotsman Donald Wilson built the first hotel on the site after arriving in Brisbane, and his grandson John Wilson built the current hotel in 1884. Later changes by the Corrigan family and Castlemaine Brewery added to the building, which the venue describes as an important example of late nineteenth-century architecture.
