Merlo Coffee Cafe | Indooroopilly is a practical Long Pocket stop for coffee, breakfast, lunch or a snack within the University of Queensland’s Long Pocket Precinct. The café is near Indooroopilly Golf Course on Meiers Road, making it suited to students, university staff and locals in the area. Merlo’s coffee is the focus, with the café also serving hot and cold drinks including chai, matcha, hot chocolate, milkshakes, smoothies and iced beverages.

The food offering covers straightforward options for busy mornings and daytime meet-ups, including toast, fruit toast, banana bread, a breakfast panini, ham and cheese croissants, sausage rolls, spinach and ricotta rolls, gourmet wraps and sandwiches, and fresh seasonal salads. Cakes, slices, biscuits and savoury pastries provide extra choices for a quick break. There is space in the offering for both a fast refuel and a more relaxed breakfast or lunch with colleagues and friends. Merlo also provides catering for gatherings, meetings and celebrations near the UQ campus, with wraps, sandwiches, salads, sweet treats, drinks and coffee available to order. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free requirements can be accommodated for catering with at least 24 hours’ notice. The café trades Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm and is closed on weekends.
