Fritzenberger South Bank keeps its food focus clear: burgers, frites and cold beer, with a broader pub menu for anyone wanting something beyond the signature combination. The burger range is built around chef-sourced local ingredients and includes beef, southern-fried chicken, grilled chicken, a panko-crumbed mushroom option and the substantial Fritzen Double-up. Standouts include the Signature Fritzen Burger with cheddar, salad and house Fritzen sauce, the Korean Chilli Burger with fried onion rings and gochujang mayo, and the Big Queenslander, which can be ordered with either grilled chicken or grass-fed beef and comes with pineapple, beetroot and a fried egg.
The frites are treated as more than an afterthought. Alongside regular fries seasoned with house-made Fritzen salts, the menu lists truffle fries with parmesan and truffle mayo, plus loaded fries with maple bacon, cheese sauce and Fritzen sauce. There are also shareable options such as hot honey popcorn chicken, southern-fried wings, corn ribs, mac and cheese bites, onion rings and cheese toast. For a larger meal, the menu covers chicken schnitzel, two styles of chicken parmigiana, beer-battered barramundi, salt and pepper calamari and a fisherman's platter. Salads, a kids' ice cream offering and desserts such as dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream round things out.
The South Bank venue is positioned in the heart of the precinct, with public transport connections and nearby parking options noted by the venue. Its flexible food and drink options make it suitable for birthdays, work get-togethers and other group occasions, while the straightforward burger-and-fries format also works for a casual solo meal or an easy catch-up. Families have a dedicated kids' offering, although the supplied menu only specifies ice cream with sauce and sprinkles.
There is a regular social side to the venue, too. Free trivia is listed for Wednesdays from 6:45pm, with prizes and weekly jackpots, alongside a $1 wing day. The website also lists weekday offers including $12 classic burgers on Monday, two-for-one burgers on Tuesday, $20 chicken parmigianas on Thursday and the Wednesday wing deal; these are available with a drink purchase and may be subject to change. A limited-edition One Legged Chicken Burger, created with Lane's BBQ, is also featured, though the venue notes that menu items can change and availability is not guaranteed.
