Baldwin Lawn Playground

Baldwin Lawn Playground is a family-friendly spot within Brisbane’s City Botanic Gardens, with a children’s playground set among lawns, trees and the wider heritage garden. The surrounding park covers 18 hectares beside the river and includes heritage, exotic and native plants, giving families plenty of space to combine play with a walk or picnic.

The playground is specifically noted as one of the gardens’ favourite picnic areas. Visitors can spread out on the lawns or use nearby picnic tables, shaded seating and shelters. South Bank and Central train stations are each about a 10-minute walk away, while the free City Loop service stops on Alice Street.
