Toowong Library

Toowong Library is a practical community space inside Toowong Village Shopping Centre, offering books, magazines, newspapers, CDs and DVDs, digital resources and e-books. Its collections include Chinese, Japanese and Spanish language materials, while information, reference, printing, scanning, photocopying and internet services support study, work and everyday research.

The library is wheelchair accessible and includes Wi-Fi, after-hours returns, a breastfeeding-friendly space and a hearing loop in the meeting room. Visitors can also take a virtual tour to explore the facilities before arriving. It suits solo visitors looking for a place to read, access resources or use the internet, as well as families and community members using the library’s services.

Two meeting rooms are available for hire, each accommodating up to 25 people. They include free Wi-Fi, a data projector, electronic whiteboard, kitchenette, tables, wireless microphones and wheelchair access; the rooms can be combined for groups of up to 50. Not-for-profit and charity community use is free, while commercial rates apply for other bookings. The library is open Monday to Saturday, with later hours on Thursday, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Parking is available in the Toowong Village Shopping Centre car park.
