Music has been part of the building’s story for decades. It hosted punk shows in the late 1970s and 1980s, including performances by The Leftovers, The Survivors, Xero and Razar. Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall opened in 2014, continuing the site’s role as a live music and social venue. That history gives the current bar a genuine connection to Brisbane’s music culture rather than relying only on its visual theme.

Lefty’s also caters for private functions, from full-venue hire to smaller gatherings.
