Dopo Eatery is a licensed café in Milton, Brisbane, serving all-day breakfast, lunch, coffee and a relaxed place to slow down. The venue’s own description centres on fresh food, artisan coffee and friendly hospitality, with a casual approach suited to an unhurried meal or a coffee break. It is open seven days, and the menu is available through the afternoon, making it a practical option beyond the early-morning café run.
The all-day breakfast menu covers both familiar choices and more involved plates. Free-range eggs, sourdough toast and granola provide straightforward options, while the lemon ricotta hotcakes come with balsamic strawberries, vanilla cream cheese custard, praline crunch and maple syrup. Other substantial choices include Turkish eggs with garlic labneh and crispy kale, wild mushroom bruschetta with whipped goat’s cheese, and the nourish bowl with pumpkin hummus, quinoa, seasonal greens and spiced cauliflower. The menu also includes vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free or gluten-free-optional choices, with dietary abbreviations listed beside dishes.
Lunch brings a mix of café and bistro-style offerings, including calamari fritti, Dopo Caesar salad, casarecce pasta with broad beans and cavolo nero pesto, crispy-skin barramundi, confit duck risotto and two burger options. There is also a children’s section with breakfast plates, popcorn chicken, a beef cheeseburger and spaghetti bolognaise, so families have dedicated choices rather than needing to adapt the main menu. The licensed setting and broader lunch menu also make it suitable for a catch-up over food, while the calm café positioning works for solo diners and smaller groups.
Dopo is the latest chapter in a Milton food story that began in 1993, when Mark and Narelle Tognini opened a small deli in Milton Village. Their original Tognini’s Cafe Deli grew into a local business associated with food, coffee, ready meals and catering before becoming Dopo Eatery in 2025. The new name means “after” in Italian, reflecting the venue’s idea of enjoying the moments after work, school or the morning rush. For visitors familiar with the former deli, it offers continuity through the same owners and hospitality alongside a refreshed identity.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.1 from 23 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
