QPAC’s Concert Hall is a major live performance venue in South Bank, Brisbane, presenting a broad program that spans orchestral concerts, chamber music, contemporary music and stand-up comedy. Its front-of-stage auditorium seats 1,600, with capacity for up to 1,800 when the choir balcony is used, and every seat is designed to provide a clear view of the performance. The hall’s architecture and acoustics are central to the experience. The auditorium has an intimate feel despite its scale, while the Klais Grand Organ provides a striking focal point above the stage. The venue can also be arranged in reverse mode, with seating on the stage for selected events.

Concert Hall performances are supported by QPAC’s foyers, bars and nearby dining options. Foyers and bars open 1.5 hours before performance time, and theatre bars serve drinks, light snacks and vending-machine items, with card and digital payments accepted. On the ground level, tomtom offers South-east Asian street food, Storytellers provides outdoor dining and an all-day menu, and Lyrebird focuses on Italian flavours. These options make it possible to plan a pre-show meal or a drink before taking your seat.

The hall faces Melbourne Street and sits opposite South Brisbane train station on Grey Street, with access from South Bank and the Cultural Forecourt. Three lifts connect the ground floor with the Concert Hall foyers, although some seating areas may involve stairs unless accessible seating has been booked.
