City Cave Wynnum

City Cave Wynnum is a wellness centre on Bay Terrace offering three core services: float therapy, infrared sauna and massage. The centre also provides Red Light Therapy as an add-on, along with gift cards, memberships and combined packages for guests who want to use more than one service in a visit. Remedial, sports, pregnancy and relaxation massage are available, with certain remedial treatments potentially claimable through private health insurance.

Float therapy takes place in an open pool about the size of a double bed, filled with Epsom salt water heated to match the body’s temperature. The room is designed to reduce light, sound and the sensation of gravity, creating a quiet setting for rest. Couples can float together, making the experience suitable for a low-key date or shared wellness session, while the private setup also works for people booking time alone. First-time visitors are provided with guidance on what to expect and bring.

The infrared saunas use radiant, light-based heat rather than heating the surrounding air. Sessions are generally 45 minutes, with the centre advising first-time users to take it gently and step out if they feel tired, nauseous or light-headed. Massage can be booked on its own or paired with sauna or float therapy. The package options include Flauna, combining sauna and float therapy; Saunage, pairing sauna with a 45-minute massage; Floatage, combining a float with a 45-minute massage; and Complete Wellness, which brings all three services together.

The centre describes its rooms as private and purposefully designed, with hygiene and customer care treated as important parts of the experience. It is located inside the Health Hub at Shop 1/89 Bay Terrace, with surrounding street parking and parking beneath the building, including three-hour validation for guests. City Cave Wynnum is run by Dustin, Allira and Darren, whose backgrounds span massage therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, veterinary care, health and fitness. With appointments available seven days a week from 9am to 9pm, it suits solo visitors looking for a reset, couples wanting a different date experience, and locals considering an ongoing wellness routine.
