About this program
Get your passport for a thrilling journey through the Solar System, out of the Milky Way Galaxy and to the edge of the observable universe, returning home via a black hole. Narrated by Tom Hanks.Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.Passport to the Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Major support for new version provided by the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco.
What to expect
This program runs 3 times a week and has 13 sessions scheduled between 20 August and 17 September 2026, mostly on Thursday and Saturday and Sundays.
Sessions usually start at 12:00 pm (62% of them) and run about 45 minutes.
Every session runs at Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium, Mt Coot-tha, so the location is consistent week to week.
