Not another BOM! Transformation - Moments that matter
Wed, 5 Aug, 5:30pm
The Precinct, Brunswick St Mall · Level 2, 315 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley, Fortitude Valley
Large-scale digital transformation is one of the biggest challenges organisations face today, and when it goes wrong, the consequences can be significant. Using the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) website redesign as a case study, Michael Broadhead (Folk) will explore what happened, decisions that shaped the project, the public experience, and the lessons we can take away from one of Australia's most visible digital transformations. We'll then broaden the conversation with a panel representing research and design, program management, CX and delivery. Together, they'll unpack the complexities of leading change at scale, balancing competing priorities, managing trade-offs, and delivering outcomes in challenging environments. Whether you've led transformation programs, been right in the middle of it or are simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, this session offers an open and honest discussion about the realities of digital transformation: the successes, the setbacks, and everything in between.
